Founder/formulator

Our founder, Nancy, decided to make a change to her natural hair care after a big chop; which led to the discovery of Clay Day. With a combination of her scientific experience and passion for using natural products, she started to note the importance of understanding and having full knowledge of the products we apply to our hair and skin.

"I have had natural hair for a long time, but it wasn’t until I had a big chop that I began to enjoy taking care of my hair.

I became consistent with my hair regime and looked forward to wash days. As I became more invested in my hair, I discovered that many products on the market were formulated with poor quality and harsh ingredients, and nothing appeared to treat my hair with the love that it deserved.

After much research and experimenting, I discovered various hair textures, thickness, and lustrousness had adapted to each ingredient. Hair has now become my passion and I wanted to share an ethical product that would largely benefit people with all hair textures."
